Valdean Florence Bauer was born at home in the house her Great Grandfather, John Mill, built in 1903.
Today we are here to say good-bye to Mom. I have been trying to think of how to write what I wanted to say all week.
I look back and think of how we all turned out. We are different and yet in some ways the same. I like that our mother taught us kindness to others, compassion, and strong work ethic, and in spite of everything, to love each other because we are family. I believe she did the best to raise us in a time that when single parents weren't the norm. While we didn't have a lot, we never felt less than any one else.
I believed that Mom believed in God and knew that when she was gone, she would go to be with Him. I also looked at many pictures this week. Pictures I have never seen. Just by seeing the ones of her sister and brother made me realize how much she missed them. That was a void none of us could fill.
I am happy that she isn't suffering anymore and I am happy that she is now with the family that she has missed for so long.
I was looking for a spiritual quote that would be best fit this for me. It is "The death of people whom we love brings sorrow and deep pain; but in our loved ones know the Lord, our loss becomes their gain."
