Carol Lou Justice Cochran, age 76, was born September 24, 1940 in Paris Texas to Alvie and Lona (Rhodes) Justice.
She was married to Joe Drinnon, with whom she had 5 daughters. They divorced after many years of marriage.
Later, she married Wade Cochran, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by several other loved ones including both of her parents, a grandson, Samson Byrd; her only brother, Travis Justice; and five sisters, Margaret Collins, Rodessia Allen, Ruby Ames, Rosa Pyron and Helen Potts.
Carol taught Headstart at Ft. Towson for many years, in which there, she became "Mrs. Carol" to many tiny faces. She was called "Granny" by many other children who adored her.
She enjoyed working in her yard, writing children's books and many arts and crafts. She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Carol was affiliated with the Church of God.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE: her 5 daughters, Carrie Byrd of Sawyer, OK, Sarah Threet of Sawyer, OK, Eva Barrett of Hugo, OK, Angela Drinnon of Sawyer, OK. Robbin James and her companion Allen Peeples of Homerville, GA, one sister, Maybelle Bellamy of Paris, TX; 29 grandchildren along with several great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
VISITATION: the family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 P.M., Friday, February 17, 2017 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home, 410 South "F" Street, Hugo, OK
