TRAVIS E. (WILLIE) JUSTICE, 90, of Deport, passed away January 17, 2017. Willie, as he was known to his family and friends, was born October 5, 1926 in Shady Grove, Texas to Alvie Augusta Justice and Lona Mae Rhodes.
He honorably served his country as a Private First Class Medic in the United States Army. He made a career as an orderly at St. Joseph Hospital for thirty-three years.
Willie is survived by his wife, Virginia Lois Justice, of Deport; a daughter, Virginia Ann, and husband, Melvin Parker, of Texarkana; a sister, Maybell Bellamy, of Paris; a sister, Carol Cochran, of Hugo, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Arthur Lay, and wife, Joyce, of Paris; brother-in-law, Douglas Lay, and wife, Linda, of Bonham; sister-in-law, Shirley Hernandez, of Dallas; two grandchildren, Jonathan Parker and Jaden Parker; as well as a host nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by five sisters.
Roden-Pryor Funeral Directors will hold a memorial service 10:00 a.m. Saturday January 21, 2017 in the Gene Roden Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with Bro. Louis Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
