William O “Bill” Barker, 94, of 4119 Morrison died Friday at 6:45 p.m. at this residence.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Salem-Kinser United Methodist Church with the Revs. Milton Guttierrez and Richard Perry officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

He was born May 20, 1889 in Hunt County to R.F. and Sarah Jane Barker. He was married to Daisy Jennings Dec. 21, 1936 in Hunt County. Mr. Barker was a member of Salem-Kinser United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife of Greenville; a sister, Ann Lancaster of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews.

Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born April 20, 1889 in Hunt County, he was the son of R.F. and Sarah Jane Barker. He was married to Daisy Jennings Dec. 21, 1936 in Hunt County. Mr. Barker was a World War I Army veteran and a retired farmer. He was a member of Salem-Kinser United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge of Greenville and a 60-year member of the American Legion.

Surviving are his wife, Daisy Barker of Greenville; a sister, Ann Lancaster of Greenville and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Don Jennings, M.T. Barker, Mabrey Barker, Charles Jennings, Johnny Barker and Steve Jennings.
