Death of Mrs. Way.
Mrs. Harriet Way died at tbe home of her son Cyrus near Woodland, Friday September 2d, after an illness of several months. She was born in Adams county, Pa., January 12th, 1819 and was 85 years 7 months and 20 days of age. She was married to Frederick Way, who preceded her to the grave about 12 years ago, September 22d, 1840 and to this union were born nine children, seven sons and two daughters. A son and a daughter passed on before her to the better world. The living are: John, Alex, Clark, Harry, Cyrus and Luther Way and Mrs. M. R Heninger. The latter lives in Aberdeen, South Dakota, Luther lives in Skiatook, Ind. Luther and Cyrus at Woodland. The other four live in the vicinity of Shelbina.
Mrs. Way had lived in Monroe and Shelby counties since 1870. She lived a happy, busy life and brought up her large family to be useful men aud women. She united with the German Reform church in her youth but after coming to Missouri, became a member of the M. E. Church South at Browning Chapel.
Her remains were brought to Shelbina on the morning train Saturday aud funeral services were held from the M. E. Church South, conducted by Rev. A. P. Turner in the absence of the pastor, Rev. Anderson. The remains were then laid to rest beside those of her husband in the city cemetery.

Mrs. Harriet Way.
Mrs. Harriet Way departed this life at the home of her son, Cy Way, at Woodland Friday. She was quite aged and her death was not entirely unexpected as her health had been failing for some months. Deceased was born in Adams county, Pennsylvania, Jan. 12, 1819, being at the time of her death 85 years, 7 months and 20 days of age.
She was married to Frederick Way, Sept. 22, 1840 and in 1870, they with their family moved to Missouri, residing most of the time in Shelby and Monroe counties. She was the mother of nine children (two deceased). Those surviving the mother are Harry, Clark, Alex and John of this vicinity, Luther, of Collinsville, I. T., Cy, of Woodland, Mrs. M. R. Heninger, of Aberdeen, S. Dak.
In early life she united with the German Reform church, but after moving to Missouri, there being no church of that faith here, she united with the M. E. Church, South, and during the last years of her life, she held her membership at Browning Chapel. The remains were brought to this city Saturday morning and funeral services conducted by Rev. A. P. Turner were held at the M. E. church, South, at 10 o'clock after which interment took place in the city cemetery.
