JOHN WAY DEAD
John Way, age 77 years, died at his home here at five o'clock Monday morning following an illness of several months duration. Death was due to hardening of the arteries and other complications.
Deceased was born in Pennsylvania on January 10, 1844, and was twice married. Seven children, two of whom survive were born to the first union. Those surviving are two sons, William of Pocatello, Idaho and Flory of Seattle, Wash. Two daughters, Mrs. Earl Bates of Shelbina and Mrs. Carl Eikelman of Quincy, born of the union to Miss Betty Bennett of Monroe county, with the mother, survive. Several brothers are also living.
Funeral services will be held from the late residence at 10:30 Thursday morning, conducted by Rev. J. H. Wood of Canton.
Burial in the Shelbina cemetery.
