George Eugene Brady, age 68, of Rt 1 Box 154, Laurel Fork, Va, husband of Pauline Marshall Brady, died Saturday morning, April 12, 1997 at Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, Va. Mr Brady was born in Carroll County, Va, April 15, 1928, son of the late Dewey and Dora Marshall Brady, was retired from the Carroll County School System and a member of the Gospel Chapel Church of Laurel Fork, Va. He is survived by his wife, Mre Pauline Marshall Brady of the home; one daughter Anissa Brady and fiance, Matthew Holland of Laurel Fork, Va; one son and daughter in law Danny Lee and Gail Brady of Marion, N C; two sisters and brothers in law, Penny and Otis Compton of Martinsville, Va and Lovelene and Winfred Handy of Mt Airy, N C. Funeral services were held Monday, April 14, 1997 at 11 AM at the Moody Funeral Chapel conducted by Mr Winston Puckett, Rev Clarence Marshall and Rev Jack Holland with interment following in the Maple Shade Cemetery. The family received friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt Airy, NC on Sunday evening, April 13 from 7-9 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Laurel Fork Rescue Squad, Rt 1, Laurel Fork, Va 24352
