Mr H A Edwards, an old photographer who was well known in this section, died in a hospital in Washington city recently. He first came to Union some 20-odd years ago with Mr W S Stroman, and the two men opened a photograph gallery here. Subsequently Mr Edwards removed to Rocky Point, and from thence to Alderson and many other points on the C & O Railway. One of his arms was paralyzed, and his nature was an odd mixture of wit, shrewdness and peculiarity. For several years of late he had been occupying an old flat-boat arranged as a photograph gallery, near Hancock, Md, and christened it the "Flotin Pallis," and was moved from point to point along the canal at the owner's pleasure. Last fall he was taken sick, and tying up the "Flotin Pallis" at Four Locks, Md, went to the Washington hospital where he died. Mr Edwards was about 55 years old. Our people will be sorry to hear of the death of their quaint old acquaintance. Monroe Watchman

It seems that Mr H A Edwards, whose alleged death at Washington, D C, was reported by us last week, is yet alive and has no idea of leaving this mundane sphere yet if he can help it. He is at his home in Westminster, Md.
