Mollie Ellen Neukirch, 69, of Fall River and former longtime Cassoday resident, died Sunday evening at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 11, 1906 near Freedom, Oklahoma to Alfred Alexander and Annie Emeline (Simmons) Davidson. She was a homemaker. She married Lewis August Neukirch on February 6, 1926 in Alva, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son; her brothers, Elmer Francis Davidson, Jimmie Davidson, and John Henry Davidson; and her sister, Ora Maud Sampson. She is survived by her husband; her sons, Calvin Lewis Neukirch of Kansas City and Eddie Neukirch of Salina; her daughters, Edna Belle McClain of Onaga, Luella Ruth Dahlquist of Dodge City, and Thelma Irene Griffin of Beverly; her brothers, Alfred Alexander Davidson, Jr. of Eureka, George Isaac Davidson of Freedom, Oklahoma, and Joseph Daniel Davidson of Alva, Oklahoma; her sisters, Annie Janetta Hodgson of Freedom, Oklahoma, Elva Sampson of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Grace Lillian Beagley of Buffalo, Oklahoma, and Lucy Luella Carver of Alva, Oklahoma; and seventeen grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cassoday Methodist Church. Burial will be in Cassoday Cemetery under the direction of Dietz-Carlson Funeral Home.
