JOSE FRANCISCO CANOOTY DURAN

A resident of Santa Fe was born September 9, 1934, and passed away peacefully April 2, 2001 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends. He served in the US Navy in active service, from February 18, 1952 until his honorable discharge on February 17, 1960.

Jose Franciso was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Kate Duran; brothers; Peter, Juan and Jose Duran; and brother-in-law, Jose Villasona (Villasana?); and is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Mary Duran; sons: Anthony Duran, John Duran and Wife Elizabeth, Eddie Duran and wife Karen; grandchildren: Amy Jacqueline, and Kenneth Duran; brothers and sisters: Evelyn and Ray Rivera, Ida Chavez, and Al Gonzales, Stephine and Alex Salazar, Dan and Mary Allen Duran, Roberta and Salamon Gonzales, Victor Duran, Grace Duran, and Esther Villasona (sic). A special thanks to his nephew and niece David and Grace Quinones.

A memorial service will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church on Friday, April 6, 2001 at 10:30 am, with burial following at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 12:00 noon.
