Orville Hickman Craig, Sr. age 80, passed away at the Louisville Health Care Center on November 5, 2016. He retired as a carpenter from Mississippi State University and was a member of Sturgis Baptist Church. Mr. Craig also served in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bobbie Ruth Richards Craig of Sturgis; sons, Wyman Craig and his wife Tonia of Livingston, LA, Orville Craig, Jr and his wife Mona of Sturgis, and Tom Craig and Deanna Crews of Sturgis; daughters, Wanda Box of Sturgis, and Rita Lynn Perry and her husband Ken of Carthage; brothers, Barney Craig and Elzie Craig of Walker, LA; sister, Earlene Payne of Walker, LA; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Hickman Craig and Clara Peters Craig; 3 brothers and 2 sisters all from Louisiana.

Services are scheduled for Monday, November 7, 2016 at Friendship Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. with the service to immediate follow. Burial will be in the McClelland Cemetery.
