Dorothy Britt, 65, of Newport departed this life Sunday, December 25, 2016. She was born March 21, 1951 to Dutch Westmoreland and Rena Barnhill. She enjoyed reading, watching mystery movies and Scooby-Doo, collecting what knots, playing rummy and monopoly.
She was preceded in death by; her parents, three brothers, J. C. Prater, Lonny Prater, Johnny Prater, six sisters; Shirley Watts, Marcel Lingle, Odell Foust, Wanda Lee Dorse, Lucille Brownfield and Mary Ruth Prater.
She is survived by two sons; Joey Britt (Charlene) of Newport and Steve Westmoreland (Brandy) of Newport, one daughter; Debbie Roberts (Cindy) of Newport, eight grandchildren; Hunter Westmoreland, Grant Westmoreland, Aidan Hurst, Lilly Hurst, Hunter Hurst, Taylor Britt, Marissa Britt, , Leaetta Odglen, two great grandchildren; Luke Westmoreland-Perkins, Kamden Westmoreland. She loved her dog Bandit and cat Midnight.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Coffeyville Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:30-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
