Len is the son of William H. and Virginia Morton Hawkins.

Len was eleven months old when his mother, Virginia, passed away. His father married George Ann Hawkins #168828.

Len and Hattie were married October 8, 1903, by Charles E. Perkins, Rector of St. Paul's Church, Salt Lake City, Utah.

"Mrs. Hattie Theobald and Mr. A.L. George were married at St. Paul's Church on Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Rev. Perkins officiating. The wedding was a very quiet affair, only a few of the relatives of the young couple witnessing the ceremony. Both of the young people are well known and have a large number of friends who extend to them hearty congratulations and good wishes. Mr. and Mrs. George will be at home to their friends temporarily at the Halls."

"A. Lennie George, 66, 1058 Jefferson st., died in a Salt Lake hospital (L.D.S.) Friday at 3:20 p.m. after a lingering illness.

Born in Tollesboro, Ky., June 4, 1878, Mr. George came to Salt Lake City in 1901 and married Harriet Edith Theobald Oct. 8, 1903.

He was employed at Arthur Frank Clothing Co. 18 years. He was a veteran of the Spanish American War and of E.A. Wedgewood camp No. 1, U.S.W.V. (ADD: Len was discharged on February 10, 1899). He also was a member of Central Christian church.

Survivors include his widow; four sons and daughters, William Lennie and Steven Floyd George, San Francisco; Mrs. May Braby and Mrs. Marjorie Larson, Salt Lake City; four brothers and sisters, W. Harvey George, La Crescenta, Cal.; Everett D. George, Seattle Wash.; Mrs. Lulu B. Rush, Spokane, Wash.; and Mrs. Nettie Chapman, Hartford Conn."

"GEORGE ~ Services for A. Lennie George, of 1058 Jefferson ave., will be conducted Tuesday, 12:15 p.m., in the mortuary, 125 N. Main by Rev. J.L. Wilkinson of the Central Christian church. Military services by the E.A. Wedgwood camp of the Spanish-American war veterans in the Mt. Olivet cemetery. Friends may call Monday until 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday until time of services at the Joseph William Taylor Memorial mortuary."
