T. D. Coblentz, long-time Payette resident and for many years an employee of the Union Pacific railroad, died here Wednesday noon in the family home at 527 N. 7th. Mr. Coblentz had been ill since he returned here from a visit to Indiana in mid-April.
Funeral will be held 9 o'clock Saturday morning at the Payette Methodist Episcopal church with the Rev. Dallas McNeil officiating. Mr. Coblentz is survived by his widow, two sons, Ed C. and Lee W., both of Payette, and by three daughters, Mrs. Joe Davis of Baker, Mrs. Fred A. Wilson of Nampa, and Miss Bee Coblentz of Portland. The three daughters will come to Payette for the services.
Funeral arrangements will be by Landon Funeral Home.

Thomas Daniel Coblentz (9.19.1865 – 8.10.1938) m. Margaret Jane Bechdolt (9.14.1874 – 12.25.1955) He was born in Union City, Indiana, and died in Payette, Idaho. They had six children: Beatrice and Lee (twins), Mary Bernice, Ida May and Edward (twins), Ellen Margaret. Thomas Daniel Coblentz taught school for 25 years in Indiana, Iowa and Oregon. He was employed by his brother-in-law as an accountant in Washington. Then he moved his family to Payette, Idaho, in 1909 where he purchased a lumber yard and a planing mill.
