Mayport - Mrs. Mary S. Beer, 67, of Mayport RD2 was pronounced dead on arrival at the Brookville Hospital on Saturday, May 26, 1973. Born Dec. 24, 1905 in Porter Township, she was the daughter of Morgan S. and Ella C. Himes Myers. She was married to Raymond M. Beer who preceded her in death in 1961. Survivors include: two sons, Leroy and Kenneth Beer, both of Mayport RD2; four daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Shirley) Styers of Grampion, Miss Pauline Beer of Punxsutawney, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Firment of Punxsutawney, and Miss Joy Beer of Mayport RD2; eight grandchildren; one brother, Allen Myers of New Bethlehem RD3; and two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Glinkerman of Summerville, and Mrs. Dee (Gladys) Miller of Fairmount CityRD1. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, a brother, and one sister. Funeral services were held May 29, 1973 at 1:30p.m. in the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home, Hawthorn, with the Rev. Lee Karns, pastor of the North Freedom United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in the Salem Cemetery.
