Catherine Roberts Long, age 88, of Pleasureville, died Tuesday, October 26, 2004, at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville. She was a lifetime member of the Pleasureville Baptist Church, retired from the Kentucky Labor Cabinet, a member of the Homemakers Club, a 4-H Leader, a homemaker, and the daughter of the late Ora Lee and Rachel Elizabeth Casey Roberts.
She is survived by one daughter: Cathie Ann Long Beckley, Frankfort; one son: Larry Ray Long, Burlington, North Carolina; two sisters: Josephine MaGruder, Pleasureville and Ora Elizabeth Barton, Taylorsville; two grandsons; one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Laymond Long, three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 29 at 11 a.m. at the Pleasureville Baptist Church. Rev. Jerry Anderson officiated. Burial was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.
