Mrs. Maxie Church Knight, 77 Old Mill Road (Striggersville Community), Rogersville, died Friday, May 13, at Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center after a short illness.
A lifelong resident of Hawkins County, she was a member of Caney Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Hobart Knight, Rogersville; six daughters, Joyce Everhart, Norma Seaver, both of Church Hill, Johnnie Shipley, Kingsport, Frankie Greene, Rogersville, Thelma Cross, Greensboro, N.C., and Ina Allen, Johnson City; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday afternoon in Broome Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clay Frazier and Rev. Basil Jones officiating.
Burial was in Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.
