Hobart Franklin Knight
Hobart Franklin Knight, 82, died Thursday, August 30, 1984, at the residence of a daughter, Joyce Everhart, 107 Shelby Ave., Church Hill, after a long illness.
He was a former resident of Route 4, Striggersville Community, Rogersville, before moving to Church Hill. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Caney Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
He was predeceased by his wife, Maxie Church Knight, May 13, 1983.
Surviving are six daughters: Joyce Everhart and Norma Seaver, both of Church Hill, Johnnie Shipley, Kingsport, Frankie Greene, Rogersville, Thelma Cross, Albany, N.Y. and Ina Allen, Johnson City; 13 grandchildren and five great- grand-two sisters, Mrs. Willie Grace Patton, Pikeville, Tenn. and Mrs. Bessie Frogg, Harriman, Tenn.
Services were held Saturday afternoon at Broome Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Clay Frazier and Basil Jones officiating. Burial was in the Hawkins County Memorial Gardens
