WILLIAM CLYDE WALDEN, Age 95, Passed away on Monday November 28, 2016 at the Monroe County Medical Center, in Tompkinsville. He was Born June 6, 1921 in Meshack Community of Monroe County, to the Late; Mary Frances " Molly " Hammer and Fanus Page Walden.


He was a World War Two Veteran , serving from 1941---1945., After World War Two, he attended Lindsey Wilson Jr. College, Where he obtained an A. A. Degree in 1949. Then in 1954 He obtained His B S Degree, in 1956, His M A Degree., then 1968 His Leadership Rank One, all these from Western Kentucky University.
He spent His career as a Teacher, Teaching in Monroe, Allen, and Jefferson Counties, during the Years 1947---1955.
Then, He taught in Miami, Dade County Florida, from 1955--1979. and 1985--1995...
While Teaching in Florida, He taught Homestead Jr. High, Florida City Elementary and Air Base Elementary. He was Principal at Coral Reef Elementary, Vineland Elementary, Seminole Elementary. He Retired in 1979 and Returned to Teaching in 1985, and Retired again in 1995.
On August 23, 1946, He Married Alice Katherine Miller. He was a Member of Rock Bridge Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was a Member of the Monroe County Retired Teachers Association.


Survivors are His Wife of Seventy Years, Katherine Miller Walden. Three Sons, Dr. William Walden, Dr. Gary Walden and James Walden. A Sister, Mable Mildred Walden. Six Grandchildren and Eleven Great-Grandchildren.


He was Preceded in death by His Parents, A Daughter, Vella Frances Walden on September 10, 1995. His Siblings; Ruby Lee Walden, Martha Susan Walden, Evie Georgia Walden, John Isham Walden, Bertie Elsworth Walden, Cordia Lucille Walden, Corbert Paul Walden, Kenneth Ray Walden, James Kay Walden and Lucy Kate Wakden.


Funeral Services will be at 1;00 P. M. December 1, 2016 at Rock Bridge Baptist Church. With Military Rites performed at the Gravesite, By D A V Chapter 20 of Glasgow.

Burial in Skaggs Creek Cemetery.
