Andrew was the 10th of 10 children of Frederick Yaryan and his 2nd wife, Mary Freshour.
He married 1st on October 8, 1846, in Union County, Indiana, to Elizabeth Burgess, possibly the daughter of Jason and Ellie Burgess. She was born July 21, 1826, in Ohio, and died August 1, 1886, in Boise, Idaho.
He married 2nd to Mrs. Mary A. Thornton.
In 1850, Andrew with Elizabeth and daughter Mary and son James were in the home of his father in Brownsville, Union County, Indiana. Andrew and family were in Agency City, Wapello County, Iowa, in 1860 and in Boise, Idaho, in 1870.

A.S. Yaryan Passes Away at the Advanced Age of Seventy-Eight
A.S. Yaryan died yesterday morning at his home five miles down the valley road. He was 78 years of age and death was caused by old age, though he had some trouble with his lungs.
Deceased was born in Ohio. He moved from there to Indiana and from the latter state to Iowa. In 1870 he came across the plains and settled in Idaho. He leaves six children, four daughters and two sons.
The funeral will occur today at 1 p.m., being at Dry Creek cemetery.
