Willard Curtis Barnett, 96, of Earlham, died of respiratory ailment Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at USA Healthcare Center where he was a resident.

Willard Barnett was born in Alberta, Canada, and had lived in the Bear Creek area before moving to Earlham 56 years ago. He married Mable Hutzell of Earlham on June 6, 1928 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He was a retired farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel; two sons, Marvin and Harold; two grandsons; and a brother, Clyde.

He is survived by two sons, Bob of Stuart and Darwin of Earlham; a daughter, Sharon Duffey of Adel; a sister, Maudie Applegate of Earlham; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildre; and three great-great-grandchildren.
