Wright Funeral Home and Kragnes Township records state that he died July 6, 1902, as does his obituary. Died from drowning in the Buffalo River. Son of Julius and Johanna Aggerholm. For some reason, his obituary and Wright Funeral Home records state that his parents were Jens and Mathilda Aggerholm (his aunt and uncle), but North Buffalo Church records and the 1900 U.S. Federal Census confirm that he was Julius and Johanna Aggerholm's son. It would have been easy to confuse the two sets of parents with one another as they both lived in the same part of Kragnes Township and both lost several children in the early 1900s.

A SAD DROWNING

-----

A Little Son of Jens Aggerholm Loses His Life In Sight of His Brother.

-----

A sad case of drowning occurred on the farm of Jens Aggerholm in the town of Kragnes, about fourteen miles northeast of Moorhead, late yesterday afternoon, when Christian, the six-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Aggerholm, lost his life in the Buffalo river. The little fellow had gone to the river in company with his brother shortly before 5 o'clock to take a bath, and the sad end came as a result of his getting into water which was beyond his depth. His brother saw him sink and made frantic efforts to save his life, but the current and struggles of his brother were too much for him to overcome, and his efforts were of no avail. The body of the boy was recovered later and taken to the Aggerholm home and the funeral will be held from the residence tomorrow afternoon. The interment will be at Concordia cemetery. The many friends in this city and throughout the county will extend their sympathies to the stricken family.
