Although her legal name was "June" when she died, her birth name was Tilda Julia Aggerholm. Incorrect birth year listed on grave marker.


June was was baptized on 2 Nov 1899 in the North Buffalo Lutheran Church in Kragnes Township, MN. Her baptismal sponsors were Rev. Prof. R. R. Bogstad and her parents. She was confirmed in North Buffalo Church as well.


She was always a faithful and regular contributor to the church's cemetery fund, and donated enough money for them to purchase two new Reo lawn mowers around the 1950s/60s.

June Aggerholm, 96, Bethany Homes, Fargo, N.D., died Thursday, Jan. 2, 1997, in Bethany Homes.


June Aggerholm was born Oct. 14, 1900, in Kragnes, Minn., to Julius and Johanna Aggerholm. She attended the North Buffalo School, Georgetown, Minn., and in Moorhead, Minn. She was a graduate of the Fargo School of Business.


She taught at the Prairie View School in Kertsanville Township near Moorhead from 1917 to 1918.


She then joined the firm of Gaffaney's Office Specialties, located in Fargo. She worked there and in their Grand Forks store for many years as a very loyal employee, retiring in the early '70s. She was a member of the American Red Cross Volunteers, and was always a Good Samaritan in helping many young people attend college. In the spring of 1995, she became a resident of Bethany Homes in Fargo, living there until her death on Jan. 2, 1997.


She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Mickey Herting, Texas, Inez Schock, Montana, Robert Marks, California, Bernice Christianson, California, Inez Scott, Kansas, and June Bailey of Moorhead; and a dear friend, Darlyne Rourke of Fargo, who was her guardian during her residence at Bethany Homes.


Preceding her in death were her mother, Johanna, and father, Julius; sisters, Sophie Williams and Clara Marks, and brothers, Christian Aggerholm and Karl Aggerholm [Carl Egerholm]. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Bethany Homes are requested.


Service: Monday, Jan. 6, 1997, at 10:30 a.m. in Mavis Whiting Chapel, Bethany Homes, Fargo.


Interment: North Buffalo Cemetery near Kragnes, Minn.
