Barbara was the daughter of Frederick Yerian and his 1st wife, Anna Maria Dorn.
She was baptized Lutheran as Maria Barbara on October 14, 1787, by Rev. Leutge in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Sponsors John and Barbara Dorn, her grandparents.
She married in February, 1813, Guernsey County, Ohio, to John Woodbeck born 1790 in New York.
From the birth places of their children, it appears they moved from Ohio to Indiana about 1825.
They were living in LaGro Township, Wabash County, Indiana, at the time of the 1850 census.
