ROBERTS - Delsie Sherfey, 93, of Roberts, a native of Kentucky, died at 5:20 a.m. Tuesday (July 12, 1994) at Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lamb-Young Funeral Home, Roberts, the Rev. Donna Catlin officiating. Burial will be in Lyman Township Cemetery, Roberts.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sherfey was born April 9, 1901, in Summer Shade, Ky., a daughter of William T. and Rhoda Chapman Billingsley. She married William Virgil Sherfey Feb. 16, 1921, in Spirit Lake, Iowa. He died July 30, 1975.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Hoover, Fort Worth, Texas, and Jannette Winkelmann, Garland, Texas; four sons, Donald E., Royal; D. William and Jerry, both of Roberts; and James R., Mansfield; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Murial Wilson, Chenoa, and Mildred Zimmerman, Fairbury.
Two brothers preceded her in death.
Mrs. Sherfey was a member of Roberts United Methodist Church.
