Joy is the youngest child of Murphy Foster, Sr., and Lura Jane Bryant Hudson. She grew up in Idabel, McCurtain Co., OK. She had 3 siblings and they are:

Alice Jane Hudson Todd 1919–1999
Betty Ann Hudson Baker 1923– 1917
On 10 Jul 1948, and escorted on the arm of her brother-in-law, Conley Leon Todd, Sr., Joy was joined in marriage to Archie Amos Hall, at the home of her mother in Idabel, OK. Archie, being an architect, designed and built their new home in Cedar Hill, TX. There, they had two daughters. In Jan. 1959, they divorced. Joy worked and raised the two girls and later was thrilled to have a grandson.
On 12 Nov. 1976, Joy's only grandchild arrived and she adored him. Sadly, she is predeceased by this grandson Justin Richard Pruitt, along with her parents, Foster and Lura Hudson and her siblings, Jane Hudson Todd, and Murphy Hudson, Jr. She leaves her two daughters and one sister, along with four nieces, and three nephews.
