Ann Brown
Suggested edit: Ann H. Oliver Brown had six known children. Four of them lived past the 1910 date for MO required death certificates. They were her sons: John William Brown, Madison Presley Brown, George Lee Brown and Wilton Emery Brown. On all four of those son's death certificates, their mother's maiden name is listed as Ann Oliver.

George W. Oliver was married about 1848 to Ann (Elizabeth?). Smith (sister of Hester A. Smith), and they are enumerated on the 1850 Boone County, MO census with their one-year-old daughter, Elizabeth Oliver. The two individuals of Ann E. Smith and her sister, Hester A. Smith have been combined by some people into one person, which has caused confusion.

Ann E Oliver who was born 1832 in Casey County, KY, married Presley Brown on 18 Jan 1855 in Boone County, MO.

Because Ann H. Oliver's middle initial was 'H', it has been assumed by some people her middle name was Hester. However, Ann had a daughter with the name Harriet, so that could be what the 'H' stands for instead of Hester. Currently, there is no documentation for Ann's middle name as Harriet, Hester or some other name. Unfortunately, her middle initial has added to the confusion between Ann H. Oliver and her sister-in-law, Ann E. Smith, and Ann's sister Hester A. Smith!

Ann H. Oliver and Presley Brown had the following known children:

John William Brown
Isaac H. Brown
Madison Presley Brown
George Lee Brown
Harriet F. Brown
Wilton Emery Brown
