Orville Arthur Anderson, son of Andrew Anderson and Anna Sarah Larson Anderson, was born at Lincoln Center, Adams County, Iowa on January 7, 1906 and passed away March 12, 1984 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 78 years.
Orville (or Fat as he was known) worked on farms and did carpenter work most of his life. He attended country school in the Morton Mills area and was never married.
He was preceded in death by has father, mother, brothers, Emmitt and Joe; twin brother, Orlo, and sisters, Lillie and Lottie.
Orville is survived by sisters, Julia Peterson of Villisca and Mrs. Ralph (Cora) Sewell of Pahoa, Hawaii, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 14, 1984, at the Sutphen Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael Roys officiating.
Mucis selections of “In The Garden” and “The Old Rugged Cross” were played by Mrs. Neal Gray. At the memory book was Mrs. Alma Bartz. Flower bearers were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hausen.
Casket bearers were Raymond Eitzen, Bill Behnken, Harry Russell, Tom Focht, Robert Wiechman, and Robert D. Brown.
Military services were conducted by the American Legion, Villisca.
Interment was in Villisca Cemetery, Villisca, Iowa.
Arrangements were made by Sutphen Funeral Home, Villisca.
