Robert E. Mackie, 77, of 231 W. 12th Ave., died Wednesday at 11:15 a.m., following an illness of 10 days.
He was born in Pickett on Oct. 16, 1891, son of Robert and Margaret Mackie, and came to Oshkosh in 1918. He was married here to Anna Sage on Nov. 23, 1920.
Mr. Mackie had been in insurance business for 45 years before retiring in 1966. He served in the Army during World War I, and was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church.
Surviving are his widow, Anna; one daughter, Mrs. John John Levenhagen, Oshkosh; two brothers, Samuel Mackie, Beloit; and Milton Mackie, Pickett, and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Peterson and Miss Lois Mackie, Rosendale.
Services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Marquardt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lynn Scovil, pastor of Plymouth Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-9 p.m. A memorial has been established.
