son of Benjamin King and Mary Ann Burson. He was married first to Indiana Langston on 1/31/1849 in Campbell County, Georgia (now Fulton County). They had four children. He then married Mary Frances Hayes on 12/6/1896 in Carroll Co, Georgia.
