Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro. The Rev. Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. Readers will be Wanda Dufour and Charlotte Guidry.
Mrs. Credeur was a native of Carencro and a resident of Lafayette for most of her life. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors include her devoted husband of sixty-seven and a half years, whom she married on February 26, 1949, Lessin Credeur of Lafayette; one daughter, Mackleen C. Guidry of Carencro; one granddaughter, Michelle G. Richard of Carencro; three great grandchildren, USMC Sgt. Phillip Richard, Kyle J. Richard and Gabrielle L. Richard; one brother, Levanis Benoit and his wife, Theresa, of Lafayette; one sister-in-law, Vickie Benoit of Alexandria;.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Apolnaire Benoit and the former Anita Mallet; one brother, Paul Patrick Benoit; two half-brothers, Ulysses Benoit and Mayo Benoit; one sister, Ozea Guidry and her husband, Curlis; and one half-sister, Anestine Hernandez.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Sgt. Phillip Richard, Kyle J. Richard, Barry Dufour, Albert Roger, Jr., Ronald Cormier and Darren Benoit. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Benoit, Robert Guidry, Patrick "PJ" Benoit, Hunter Benoit, Jacob Guidry and Josh Guidry.
