Henry's mother Addy died when he was nine years old; he didn't like father's new wife, so ran away from home as a boy (12) and never returned. A wireless pioneer, Henry was issued his "Certificate of Skill" at Boston Navy Yard on 22 Dec. 1911 by Cmdr. E.W. Kittelle, USN (believed #27 nationwide). Graduated from Mass. College of Telegraphy. Aviation Section, Signal Corps, U.S. Army, 1918; U.S. School of Military Aeronautics; Cadet, Air Service; Honorable Discharge; Victory Medal; 110th Cavalry Officer, Mass. National Guard; Amateur Radio Extra Class Operator W1NT. Worked at Mass. General Hospital, and later for Walworth Corp., Boston, a manufacturer of valves, fittings, pipe wrenches, etc. (became Trimo Corp.). Eventually Tool Sales Manager at Walworth. Member of the Gate of the Temple Lodge (originally Dorchester, now Quincy) and the Howard Lodge, South Yarmouth. Active officer of American Legion Post 197; long-time Chaplain.

Married to Alice Kimball Hamblin (Lambert) of Pawtucket, RI in Falmouth, MA on 16 September 1912 by Henry Herbert Smythe, Rector (Falmouth 1912, Vol 1893-1934 pp 36). Two children: Henry Lambert b. 16 October 1913 in Waverly MA (Belmont birth certificate Year 1913 Vol 2 Page 37 No 113; m. Atoa of Samoa and other marriages and children; d. 10 Nov 1984 at National Hospital Apia, age 71); child: David Alden Lambert b. 19 June 1917 at 19 G. Street, Boston MA (Boston Birth Certificate No. 9298; m. Hortense "Horty" Ruth Geist b. 1926, in 1945; child: Dee October 1945; David d. 3 October 1966 in Westport, CT age 49; Horty remarried Ralph Carpentier).

div. decreed 1 May 1929 (sons 11 and 15 years old) filed by Henry at Suffolk County Probate Court #7132; 5 May 1958 Court of Boston document; Alice H. Lambert of Dedham in Norfolk County, libelee; Henry of Boston libellant, in favor of libellant for "Utter desertion."

Married to Margaret Drummond Boustead 9 Dec. 1930 at Milton, MA (he 38 she 29) Milton, MA; marriage certificate by Charles A. Forbes - Minister, 6 Rugby Road, Mattapan, MA; adopted child: N. Claire Boustead (later McGowan; b. 29 June 1922) from Margaret's first marriage, adopted 12 Jan 1931 (age 8); child: Donald Drummond Lambert (b. 12 Aug 1933).

Died 22 June 1977, Hyannis MA (age 85) of congestive heart failure. Buried in Milton Cemetery, Lot 3711 New Avenue.

Among many memories, grandson Bruce lists a few:
- Henry played English horn as a young man
- he was exceptionally fond of technology, including radio & photography
- he was a crisp & dapper dresser, and often in uniform for the American Legion
- he was meticulous with thank you cards, congratulation notes, etc.
