Dr. W.A. BARNES died at his home in Martinsburg yesterday afternoon of pernicious anemia after an extended illness.

Dr. Barnes was a graduate of the High School here and of a medical school in Philadelphia.

He was the son of James Barnes and was born and raised on a farm near Halfway.

He was a practicing physician in Martinsburg since 1902.

He is survived by one brother, John, this city; and two sisters, Mrs. John Needy, Williamsport; and Mrs. Frank Newcomer, this city.

Funeral services were held in Martinsburg. The remains were brought to this city and interment was made in Rose Hill Cemetery.
