Mrs. J.R. Stone, a pioneer resident of Wichita, died at her home, 3701 East Central avenue, last night. She is 86 years old and has been sick for about five months. Mrs. Stone was born in Kentucky and came to Wichita, Kansas, in 1873. Her husband was owner at one time, of land upon which the Rock Island railroad freight depot is now located. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. D.W. Aldrich, College Hill, and Miss Laura Stone, who resides at home. Funeral arrangements have not been made.

The funeral of Mrs. James R. Stone will be held from the late home, 3701 East Central avenue, this morning. Services in charge of Rev. Jay W. Sommerville, pastor of St. Paul's Methodist church. Interment will be at Wapella, Illinois, Monday. Pall bearers will be J.W. Metz, Charles W. Carey, A.C. Payne, R.R. Roy, Warren Parker and D.O. Williams.

Mrs. Anne E. Stone, aged 85, died on Thursday evening at Wichita, Kansas. She had been in poor health for the last year. Her husband, James R. Stone, died in January 1914. They formerly resided here and owned the D.J. Powers farm, which they sold and went to Wichita, Kansas, in 1874, where they made their home. Mrs. Stone leaves two daughters, Mrs. Anna Aldrich and Miss Laura, at home; four brothers, F.M. Willis, of Wapella, J.W. Willis, of Heyworth, Rev. J.V. Willis, of Naples, E.F. Willis of Banks, Oregon, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Porter, of Pleasanton, Kansas. Mrs. Stone was a member of the M.E. Church. Her daughter Miss Laura, accompanied the remains from Wichita to this city, arriving here Sunday. The remains were taken to the F.M Willis home, where funeral services were held Monday afternoon. Interment was by the side of her husband in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
