Daughter of Andrew Jackson Holt and Parmelia, wife of (Unknown) Willingham. Sister of Mahalie Elizabeth (married William Hannah) and James K. Polk Holt (married Sarah James Campbell).

Second wife of George W. Minor, whom she married on January 12, 1866 in Gwinnett County, Georgia, and father of Daniel Chester, Charles E., Cora Bell (married Thomas L. Freeman), Augustus G., Permelia (married Guy S. Snead), Eva, George Sydney, and Eufala Minor.

In 1850, Mary Holt, aged 10, was living in Andersons, DeKalb, Georgia, in the home of her parents, Andrew J. Holt, aged 35, no occupation given, and Pamelia Holt, aged 31, with siblings, Elizabeth Holt, aged 7, and James K.P. Holt, aged 2, all born in Georgia.

Marriage - Georgia, Guinnett County; To any Judge, Justice of the Inferior Court, Justice of the Peace, or Minister of the Gospel, You are hereby authorized to join in the holy state of matrimony, George W. Minor and Mary Willingham, according to the Constitution and Laws of this State; and for so doing this shall be your sufficient License. Given under my hand, This 12th day of January, 1866, George T. Rakeston.

In 1910, Mary E. Minor, aged 69, widowed, was living in Rockbridge, Gwinnett, Georgia. Living with her were her sons, Charles E. Minor, aged 37, and Augustus G. Minor, aged 35, both farm laborers. She was shown to be a farmer.

Burial Record - Mary E. Minor, born June 25, 1839, died January 19, 1914, Second wife of George W. Minor. She was buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
