Lloyd Watson Obituary

Lloyd F. Watson was born on May 1, 1918 to Milian Oral Watson and Minnie Francis (Bullock) Watson in Blanchard.
Lloyd passed away on December 30, 2006 at the Ambassador in Sidney.
Lloyd enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing horseshoes. He went to school in several communities including Blanchard and Essex. In the mid 1930s, he married Marjorie M. Davis.
Lloyd enlisted in the Navy on Mary 31, 1944 and served in the Pacific during WWII. He was discharged in 1946. Lloyd and Marjorie moved to Essex in the late 40s and lived there through the remainder of the 20th Century.
Lloyd was employed by Mount Arbor Nurseries for a lifetime. He was a good worker and easy to get along with.
Marjorie passed away on June 16, 1990.
After Marjorie's death, Lloyd and Eddie continued living in Essex and continued their winter trips to Harlengen, Texas.
In 2001, Lloyd and Eddie moved to be closer to family. In the spring of 2003, Lloyd broke his hip and was moved into a Council Bluffs nursing home. In October 2003, Lloyd came to live in Sidney at the Ambassador. He was well liked by everyone there.
Proceeding him in death were his parents and two brothers, John Milan and Glendale Watson, one sister Elsie Faye Watson Ellis.
He is survived by his only son Eddie, who resides at Gardenview Care Center in Shenandoah, two sisters, Ona Brownfield of Sidney and Darleen Messenger of Cosmopolis, Wash and other family and friends.
Lloyd's final resting place is at the Essex Cemetery. He rests near his wife Marjorie. Services for Lloyd were held on Jan. 4, 2007 at 10:30 a.m.
