Mr. Bowers was taken sick on Thanksgiving Day and his condition has been rather unfavorable since that time.
He was a graduate of Washington County High School, class of 1911, and was the principal of the Cearfoss schools. He was an especially bright young man, and enjoyed the friendship of a large circle of people. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his mother and the following brothers and sisters: Ethel, Hazel, Russell, Bruce, Walter and Edgar, at home.
The funeral service was at the house; interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
