Death Comes To Mrs. J.L. Cherry, 81
Mrs. Eva Jane Cherry, 81, of 522 East Finley avenue, died at the home of her son, J.E. Cherry of 407 West Park avenue, at 8:50 a.m. today.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Roby and was born in Centerville, March 1, 1876. She had lived in Ottumwa the past 53 years and was a member of the Ward Street Gospel hall and the Supreme Forest Woodman Circle lodge. She was married to J.L. Cherry, September 14, 1893 in Centerville.
She is survived by five sons, Leo W. Cherry of San Francisco, Glen Cherry of Decatur, Ga., J.E. Cherry, Leonard R. Cherry and John A. Cherry all of Ottumwa; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie McDaniel and Mrs. Lillie Clements, both of Centerville, Mrs. Emma McDaniel of Corydon and two brothers, Frank Roby and Charles Roby of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her husband December 20, 1943, two brothers and a sister.
The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel pending funeral arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Dave Herber, John Collett, Donald Patrick, George Krafka, Jack Smith and E.J. Mathews.
