Arlene Dieterman, age 88, a resident of Renaissance Gardens, Riderwood Village, Silver Spring, MD, for 6 years, died of Parkinson Disease on Sun, Jun 19, 2011.

Prior to moving to MD, Mrs. Dieterman lived in Columbia, SC, for over 40 years. The widow of Maj. John R. Dieterman (Ret.), she also lived in GA, France, FL, CA, and NY State.

Mrs. Dieterman was born on Nov 1, 1922, in Hornell, NY, the daughter of Harry S. Totten and Nadine Putnam Totten.

She was one of seven sisters. The others were Arietta, Amy, Helen, Bertha, Hope Evelyn, and her twin Eldene, none of which survive her.
