Walter D. Bitner, 87, Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Lancaster, died Thursday in Sun City after a short illness. Born in Lancaster, a son of the late Abram and Annie C. Bitner, he was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Matilda; two children, Mrs. Norman Gresham and Walter D. Bitner Jr., both of Akron, Ohio; two brothers, Frank C. Bitner, Bedford, Va.; and Charles E. Bitner, Montclair, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Ralph R. Hostetter, Lancaster. (Lancaster New Era - Lancaster, PA -Dec 12, 1969)
