Charles Walden - son of Susan Walden Tippett and unknown father. He was married to Rebecca Duncan, c. 1831 and Nancy Johnson, c. 1850. The issue of the first marriage Mary Ann (Couey), John Thomas, Hardy James, Susan Caroline (Clark), Elizabeth (Hargraves), and Charles Ellis; (2nd marriage) Lucretia (Murray), Millie L.(Gillis), Avner Asa, Narcissia R. (Arnold), Lewis R., and Calvin Theodore.

The newspaper in Pulaski County reported on November 5, 1874, "Mr. Charles Walden, Sr., died at Waycross on the 8th ultimo. He was a half brother of Mr. Abner L. Tippett, of Pulaski."

The headstone once erect is now adhered to the slab, but proclaims this is the grave of Charles Walden, Died Oct 8 1874, Aged ?0 years. The epitaph reads: "Father thou hath flown to regions far above we to the (actual spelling) erect this stone consecrated by our love."
