Marjorie F. Wright, 93, of Macon, MO, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

Marjorie was born on November 27, 1922, in Callao, MO, the daughter of Ross and Lester (Grimshaw) Allen. She was united in marriage to Howard Wright on November 25, 1939 in Macon, MO. Marjorie was a member of the First Christian Church of Macon and Honorary member of the Macon Historical Society. She was an exceptional quilt maker and enjoyed dancing, gardening, especially in her strawberry patch and her house plants.

Marjorie is survived by one daughter, Zola Edwards and her husband Jerry of Macon, MO; three grandchildren, Rick Binder and his wife Rochelle of Blue Springs, MO, Kim Andrae and her husband Jim of Excelsior Springs, MO, and Kevin Lindley and his wife Belinda of Creston, IA; two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Eugene Binder of Blue Springs, MO; special friend, Sally Watts of Macon, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Elizabeth Binder; and twelve brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were August 4, 2016, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, with Dr. Dave Leslie officiating. Burial followed in the New Chariton Cemetery, north of Callao.

Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church of Macon or the New Chariton Cemetery.
