Lois Jean (Allen) Bixenman, 76, of Macon, MO, formerly of Callao, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Loch Haven Residential Care Facility in Macon.
Lois was born on May 10, 1936, in Callao, the daughter of Ross and Lester Frances (Grimshaw) Allen. Lois was united in marriage to John Leland "Lee" Bixenman on April 29, 1961, in Wien, MO. After graduating from Callao School, she worked in Illinois for awhile before returning to Macon and working as a waitress at the Standard Oil Station. Lois was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, sewing, traveling and bingo. Lois was a member of St. Mary's of the Angels Catholic Church at Wien.
Lois is survived by one son, Gail Bixenman and his wife, Debra of Callao; one daughter, Johnna Bixenman of Macon; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Bixenman and his wife, Bretta of New Cambria, MO, and Laura Bixenman of Liberty, MO; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Colin Bixenman; two sisters, Marjorie Wright of Macon and Deloris Myers of Mexico, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers; Lavier, Calvin, George, Ronnie and Jamie; two sisters, Lucille and Fern and three infant brothers: Randall, C. W. and Bobby.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 10:00 am at St. Mary's of the Angels Catholic Church in Wien with Father William L. Korte officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's of the Angels Catholic Cemetery in Wien. Visitation will be Friday evening, November 16, 2012, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon from 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm with a Rosary at 7:30 pm. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Cemetery Association, Loch Haven Nursing Home, or the Lee Bixenman Farms, Inc. Award.
