Mrs. Ada E. Flora, 96, widow of William S. Flora, died Tuesday at the Bartholomew County Hospital where she had been a patient four days. She lived with a son, William Flora, at 139 Main Street in Hope.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Friday, at the Norman Funeral Home in Hope by Dr. Ard Hoven. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Persons may call after 2 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Born in Bartholomew County, January 27, 1871, Mrs. Flora was the daughter of David and Marcella Beatty Chitty. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the WCTU. Her husband died in 1948.
Surviving with her son are three other children, Chester Flora of Route 8, Mrs. Kathryn Fogleman of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, and Ben Flora of 1007 Sycamore Street, and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters and a son.
