NEWSPAPER ARTICLE:

Chester Dale Flora, 101 North Gladstone Avenue, filed Tuesday for divorce from Mrs. Louise E. Flora on grounds that the defendant has been committed to the state hospital at Madison for the last five years. They were married April 16, 1938.

OBIT:

Chester D. Flora, 89, of 1728 Gilmore, died at 10:35 p.m., Monday at Columbus Convalescent Center following an illness of several months. He was a retired employee of Cummins Engine Co. where he worked 23 years.

Funeral services will be conducted by Ronnie Haislupa 10 a.m., Thursday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home where persons may call from 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday and from 8:30 a.m., until time of service Thursday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Flora was born at Hartsville, August 10, 1891, the son of William and Ada Chitty Flora. He married Effie Rouse, December 30, 1956, and she survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Jane Conrad, also of 1728 Gilmore, and Connie Everroad of 453 Glendale, two brothers, William Flora of Hope and Dan Flora of Gilmore Street; a sister, Kathryn Fogleman of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
