Maxine Wilson age 94 of Grinnell, Iowa died at the St Francis Manor in Grinnell. Burial in the Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.

Maxine Florence Deppe was the daughter of Herman Charles and Gladys Florence Shill Deppe. She was raised on several farms in Jasper County and attended country school near her home. After her education, she was employed for 10 years at the Grinnell Shoe Factory.

She was married to Georgie Martin Wilson on May 26, 1946 in Iowa City.They were the parents of Dennis, Ronda, Michael and Jody. They made their home in Grinnell prior to moving to Rock Creek Lake in 1963.

After the death of her husband in 1994, Maxine returned to Grinnell in 1999, and she later moved to Seeland Park in Grinnell in 2003.

Maxine's love and devotion to her family was always evident! She enjoyed cooking and preparing Sunday dinners for many years for family members. She enjoyed wintering in Zapata, Texas, attending her husband's Navy reunions and Blue Grass music festivals.

She loved gardening, playing cards, bingo and putting puzzles together. She played in a bowling league in Grinnell for many years.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kellogg.
