Francis Andrews began life as the 8th child of Richard and Eleanor Andrews (nee Bishop) who was a Baker of Egham, Surrey England. Francis spent some years a bank clerk, advancing to Bank Manager of the Agra Bank of Hong Kong. He married September 11, 1859,Barnes Church, Barnes England; Ellen Mills born 14 March, 1840 in Pailton, Warwickshire and together they had 10 Children, 9 of whom lived to adulthood. Francis left the bank and became involved in the silver boom taking place in Colorado, opened a business "The London & Colorado Company", Winchester Street, London and invested and sold shares in various mining and smelting operations from the mid 1870's until his sudden death on October 13, 1889 at his home called "Denver" located at 16 Brigstock Road, Thornton Heath, Croydon, Surrey England. His internment took place October 17, 1889 at Queens Road Cemetery, plot #O/20199. According to the records there is no marker for the grave.
