Nancy Ellen Burd Wylie, 82, of Concordia Lutheran Home, Cabot, Jefferson Township, formerly of Allegheny Township, died Friday (Sept. 6, 2002) in Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Harrison (formerly Allegh-eny Valley Hospital).
Born April 12, 1920, in Sarver, she lived most of her life in Allegheny Township.
Mrs. Wylie was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Leechburg; was past president and member of the Allegheny Township Community Club; and past president and member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary in Vandergrift.
Survivors include a son, Ronald C. Wylie of Lower Burrell; two daughters, Lois F. Bowser of Vandergrift and Dorothy W. Willis of Milford, Del.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Burd of Sarver; and three sisters, Kathryn Bicker of Butler, Agnes Smith of Cabot and Virginia Smith of Saxonburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair Wylie, in 1975; a daughter, Candace Wylie; her parents, James and Frone Smith Burd; two brothers, Robert and William Burd; and two sisters, Hazel Koedel and Elsie Wylie.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the CURRAN FUNERAL HOME INC., 300 Market St., Leechburg. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Leechburg, with the Rev. Edward Keefer officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, West Leechburg.
