Paul was a victim of a drunk driver. Four of his family members were also killed in this tragic crash. Thankfully, Paul's 15 year-old step-daughter, Arissa, survived this crash.

Paul was a graduate of Las Vegas Robertson High School and attended N.M. State University. He received his B.A. degree at N.M. Highlands University. He was also a certified welder and was admired for his welding skills. He was co-owner of Alternative Home Health and was presently employed as accountant. He was a member of the N.M. Home Care Association.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, kayaking, welding and spending time at the family ranch in Coyote Creek. Also an avid cook Paul was well known for his smoked brisket, ribs, salmon, and his delicious "Pablo Burger". The long lines at his GFI Concessions and Mamoo' s Cocinita were proof of this! He operated the Gonzales Family Concession Business. He was very active with the Robertson High School Band and Football Team. He designed 2006 District Championship t-shirts for Robertson High School. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

Paul loved to travel often accompanied his beloved Mother to Albuquerque or Colorado to pick up potatoes or chile to sell. He was very active with youth sports and activities and was a member of L.V. Fiesta Council. He enjoyed restoring older historic buildings in Las Vegas. A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.

As you can see, Paul lived a full and active life and his family and community were everything to him. His absence is deeply felt by so many.
