Selena was killed just three days after her tenth birthday, by a drunk driver. Foiur other members of her family died as well. Thankfully, 15 year old sister, Alisha, survived the crash.

11 year old Selena was in the gifted program at Union Elementary school and she could read 3 full grade levels beyond her 4th grade status. She was learning how to multiply and divide long numbers and gaining speed when multiplying short numbers.

She had many goals for her life. Her current ambition was to be a famous basketball or soccer player or a dentist. Selena was a very creative person and afraid to offer her opinion, no matter what people thought. She was very well liked and selfless.

She loved spending time with her family, often going camping and fishing. Selena enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. She was very adventurous and when the family would go to an amusement park, she wanted to ride the biggest, scariest, most thrilling rides! Selena was never afraid to try something new!

She enjoyed a lot of activities, such as basketball, soccer and played on the Las Vegas Future Soccer Team and also the Girl's Storm Basketball team. Selena also loved riding horses and the four-wheeler, fishing, kayaking, boating, walking in the river and swimming. She was known for her awesome, positive attitude and truly enjoyed school, she was truly meant to accomplish great things. She especially enjoyed spending time with her cousin Raymond.

A lifelong Catholic, she attended both Our Lady of Sorrows Church and Immaculate Conception Church.
